I feel guilty selling my Bob Dylan CDs, but I'm thinking of buying the new remastered versions. Mostly I want to sell them 'cause they lend credibility to the other CDs I'm taking in too. Sigh. But I still feel bad.
I want to sell my Beatles also. I have every album, including "1" and "Anthology", and "Let It Be...Naked". But again, I feel guilty. I'm counting on the albums being remastered soon, but who knows when.
What would you do? Sell the CDs and collect remastered versions? Or keep them, even though you listen to them on your computer and iPod and not on CD?
I could maybe sell them on eBay. I'd definitely get more on eBay for complete Beatles and Dylan catalogues than I would at the record store. Sigh. Hmm.
Also, anyone heard any reliable information about Beatles CDs being re-released?

You're right. I've decided to keep them...for the time being!
I spotted a Dylan boxed set that gathers all the SACD-remastered albums, and I thought about investing in it, but it turned out to cost about $300 and doesn't include "The Times They Are A-Changin'". What! They cost less individually.
The same for the Beatles boxed set. Insane.

The Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll off that album is one of my favourite Dylan tracks. You should download Highway 61 Revisited. That's my favourite Dylan album. Or Blood On The Tracks, if you want something more acoustic.

I think it's safe to say everyone on here has excellent taste in music beyond Eels ;D
As far as Dylan is concerned, you can't really go wrong with anything from the '60s or early '70s, it's all good.

Never, ever sell your cd's, unless you're in real need of cash If in need of cash, first try to rob a bank (or a helpless old lady). If that fails you can still sell your cd's. If you succeed on the other hand, you can buy even more cd's I think I still have about 95% of every album I ever bought, including some that I'm a bit embarrased about (Bon Jovi, and even worse music). The 5% that I don't have anymore have mostly mysteriously disappeared after my brother "lend" them.
