Psychedelic (non electronic) music. I'm not really home in that genre and really would like to listen to some psych music.
I like dandy warhols, they have some psychedelic stuff, but it's not psychedelic enough. It really may be weird music. I like weird music.
Any suggestions?

I like some music with psychedelic influences (but not extremely or exclusively psychedelic) :
grandaddy: psychedelic rock. sometimes pretty heavy, sometimes mellow. my favourite album is "the sophtware slump" -> masterpiece
mercury rev: the first three albums old is very psychedelic, chaotic, punky, sometimes very heavy and loud, very weird and hard to get in to. the last three albums is more very dreamy pop music with psychedelic touch (but still pretty weird and not easy-listening). start with "deserter's songs" anyhow.
gorky's zygotic mynci: they aren't very psychedelic anymore, but they used to. now they make mostly mellow folky ballads, but their old records sound like psychedelic punk with a folky touch (original, huh).
air: dreamy mix between pop, lounge, and very mild techno with psychedelic touch. their most popular album moon safari is the least, I think. Their first is just lounge. The last three are my favourites actually.
for pure psychedelia: try really OLD pink floyd.

how could I have forgotten the flaming lips? I don't know them enough yet but as much as I heard, they're great.
the mercury rev guy was originally in flaming lips, and I think the old mercury rev sounds a bit like a weirder version of them.

Love's Forever Changes is a pretty good example of Californian psychedelic from the 1960s.

Some of the Porcupine Tree stuff is rather weird. But nice. Try Röyksopp (e.g. Epple). But that's electronic, more or less ... For the really pychedelic stuff you gotta listen to 70s music. In those days there were a lot of people taking LSD and making music ...

If you want weird, you gotta listen to Ween. But they're not psychedelic. They're just weird. Full stop.
