Right.....my plan of action thus far will be: France --> Switzerland --> Austria --> Czech Republic + Slovakia --> Germany --> Belgium + Holland --> home. You make a good point about Holland, Stefan. I'll probably just check out Leiden as it's where I'll be studying. I've been to Spain and Italy before so I'm missing them out of this trip, and Scandinavia seems like something for another time as I won't have a lot of time/money. I won't be able to go to Sziget though, I'm planning to be back by the end of July. England's impending victory in the World Cup is the date I'm working around

There was even a national discusion about that, i dont care about it. I am just a "causal" footbal fan. i hate it when people are all dressed up in orange cloths at any sportevent in the world.

belgium seems to be a rebelion part of zeeland, brabant and limburg as there is also an french part of belgium but that doesnt like to be part of the dutch part if i understood right. it's so hopless the hageu could not care about it tolerated theyre own form of goverment and let it even get theyre own "national"soccer club called the red jokers

I like the Dutch fans, it's really cool to see a massive sea of orange in the stadiums. And when they lose on penalties all the flags and balloons and whatever else suddenly drop to the floor. It wouldn't be the same without the Dutch. But yes, I'm planning to experience World Cup fever first hand, whoever ends up winning.

Nah I'll just watch games in bars, or at friends' places. Even if there were tickets available, I doubt I'd be able to afford one.
