Today I learnt that apparently it's not normal to get so worried about people you've lost contact with that you start Googling their name and last known location, just in case an obituary turns up.

I learnt to make Thai Green Chicken Curry, learnt by doing I might add. It was rather lovely too, and as usual, I managed to make enough for 2 people, shame I don't really have anyone else to cook for. Ooo, I love Thai green curry, send it to me, me!

I have it mostly under control. Since I began electronically tagging the people I care most about, I've been able to relax a little.

I've just learnt that curry prevents prostate cancer. washingtontimes.com/national/20060116-101518-4976r.htmOrdinarily I wouldn't care, as I don't have a prostate. But given that there are male curry fans on the board, I thought I'd throw that little tidbit of info out there.

Excellent, well I had thai green curry again tonight, Rich is back from his travels to edinburgh, and even though i dislike him at time, he's ok to share cooking duties with, as it saves me some work, and costs me less, sort of. Actually, it wasn't particularly green, we used red onion, and yellow pepper, and anything else that was lying around really. Oh, and Beansprouts! I love Beansprouts! mmm

Heh, I had a similar learning experience the other day, when I discovered that one mug of rice is enough for 2 people not 1 as I had previously thought.

I may have to extend curry night from 4 days a week to 9 days a week. Lovely.

Given as we have so many curry eaters, I'll toss out this other little gem I learned from Dr. Know. He tested what best squelches that burning sensation from spicy foods and found that dairy products work best. Some chemical in milk disolves the conection between the hot stuff and your tongue. So, milk and curry. Seems kinda gross.

Funnily enough I had this conversation with one of my housemates the other day. She didn't like the spicyness of one of my curries, even though it really wasn't that spicy at all. I told her to have a glass of milk, but no-one believed me that it woud help, least of all her who hates things that are white and a bit squelchy (such as milk). Dunno how she copes during sex.

The Turks always have some yoghurt handy. You know, the watery kind of yoghurt you can also drink. I can't think of the name right now but it's the best when it comes to coping with spicy stuff. Ayran, it's called, I think. Err no, Ayran is buttermilk. My memory is a sieve . . .

I've learnt that I should really start cleaning my glasses regularly again. I just gave them a little wipe on my shirt, not even a proper cleaning, and all of a sudden I can see again!
*makes note to buy more lens cleaners*
Edit: and the Geico insurance advert at the top of the page just taught me that 600 people a year are injured by coconuts.

Oh, and I know what you're thinking, Yes, I should be a hand model.
