I like that I'm going to celebrate the end of exams tomorrow with the people I live with even though mine haven't actually started yet.
Also, toast, mmm toast.

I like that I've got round the ridiculous fact that iTunes doesn't let me copy music off my iPod, apparantly a move by apple to stop the stealing of music, or something Anyway, I found a program to get around it (although it is only a 14 day trial, so if anyone knows any free ones, please let me know), and I am happy, as it means I can copy off the music I ripped from my parents cd collection at christmas. www.ephpod.com/ (if it is PC formatted) If it's Mac formatted, I have a link somewhere... Thanks, I actually have that program downloaded but it didn't work, something to do with the formatting system, it even tried to format the iPod itself I think but couldn't. Is it possible for my ipod to be mac formatted but connected to a PC? And is it possible to reformat my my iPod? I know so little about modern technologies.

It is possible, but as you'd expect, it's easier to connect a PC formatted iPod to a Mac than a Mac formatted iPod to a PC.

Actually, I can probably find the answer to those questions myself, more importantly I want to know if there is a way to copy music off someones "Shared iTunes Server"? If that makes sense

It all depends what computer you connected it to the first time you used it. If you own a PC, it'll be PC formatted.

I like Herman Dune. I saw them last night and they were amazing. Also, the guy standing in front of me had a wanking mit and was clearly a junkie, and was dancing like Ian Curtis. It was a good night.

If that makes sense From what I've read PC formatted iPods work on both macs and PCs. Mac formatted work only on Macs. If it works with your PC, its PC formatted. They can be reformatted, I believe this is done through iPod options in iTunes, but I've never tried so I really don't know. There are actually loads of helpful websites out there with iPod troubleshooting info. I used to have a good one bookmarked, but I can't find the bookmark anymore. There's a lot on the Apple website though. This one seems to be pretty good: www.peachpit.com/articles/article.asp?p=28732&redir=1And of course apple has some good info: www.apple.com/support/ipod/

You're right Eris. My iPod was PC formatted, then when I got the Mac I connected it and it sorted itself. Gavin (dizzee satchel) did it the other way round, I think, which was more difficult, he may be able to come in here with helpful advice for you Martin...

Stardust @ Home ProjectThe Stardust Capsule captured dust from the coma of a comet. Also in the dust are teeny tiny contemporary interstellar dust particles. But apparently they are so tiny that it will take about 20,000 person hours to look at the 1.5 million microscopic pictures of the collection plate for what they expect to be about 45 microscopic interstellar dust paricles. So, they're letting people sign-up to get some web-based training, take a test and go through the images themselves to help find the particles. Each picture covers an area smaller than a grain of sand. If you find one, your name will be included as an author on the research paper about the dust particle. I just pre-registered. That sounds so cool. All the info, and the link to sign-up for to help is at the above link. here's a news article about it: www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/space/01/10/stardust.search.ap/index.html[/geek]

that's cool eris! it reminds me of when i downloaded that computer program that listened for aliens out in space. I forget the name right now...it was an acronym. It's probably still out on the internet somehere. Jodie Foster did something like it in the film Contact. I like Jodie Foster. Matthew McConaughey was also very yummy in that film.

I like the Coronation Tap, it's a Cider House, and does a cider that's so strong they'll only serve to you in half pint glasses, which is what everyone drinks of course. The night's a bit of a blur after our couple of hours there, but it's safe to say I failed in my plan to not drink or spend too much as unlike everyone else I was with I hadn't finished (or even started) my exams yet and have to revise today. I like geordie builders too, there were a group in the pub who decided to make friends of us, it was just like Auf Wiedersehen Pet, sort of, I barely understood anything they said to be honest, just nodded and smilied a lot. Oh, and I've figured out my iPod is PC formated, so I have no idea why that ephpod programs won't work.

I like the strange night I had last night. I started drinking around two, when the traditional post Translation pub trip was. Then I went to my friend's, and we opened the vodka, which kept us happily through Land of the Dead. I started sobering up around tea time, but then the reat of our friend's came over, and we started playing drinking games with cheap beer. By the time we got to the club we'd intended to visit, it was full, so we ended up in the Works; truly a horrible place, but it was at the behest of the girls. So, I was dressed as a full on goth, and Himi looked completely emo, and we're surrounded by townies. Naturally, the only way to make that work was tequila! And altogether too much of it. Staggered back to my friend's at four, and passed out. Then spent most of today laughing at his hangover, since I'd managed to escape.
That said, I got a bemused phone call from another friend who lives across town tonight. Apparently I called him around 3. I don't remember what I said, and he won't tell me. He just giggles. Life is fun!

I like the maintenance guys at the apartment community I work for part time. Especially one of them. He made a very clear and obvious pass at me today when we accidently ended up in a vacant apartment alone. Hmmmm....now that I think it might not have been an accident. Anyways I like the buzz that comes when you are pretty sure things are leading up to sex I like that I work my Saturday shifts alone. I like that he's on call this weekend. I might have a plumbing problem...
